Jammin’ with Jimi ! “Hendrix on Hendrix” -Book signing, clips & special guests!

WEDNESDAY,OCTOBER 10th @ 7:30 p.m. @ the Bookshop

Jimi Hendrix would have been 70 years old this year if he hadn’t left us in 1970. The legacy he left is unsurpassed and there is no doubt his musical innovation and performing capabilities make him a virtuoso for all ages. We’ll take a night here on Wednesday, October 10th to celebrate Jimi with author/editor and master Jimi historian Steven Roby who will be on hand signing his latest release, “Hendrix on Hendrix-Interviews and Encounters with Jimi Hendrix”.  Steven is also the author of “Black Gold-the Lost Archives of Jimi Hendrix” , “Becoming Jimi Hendrix” & was the editor and publisher of “Straight Ahead-The International Jimi Hendrix Fanzine” and the Hendrix family’s  authorized fanzine, “Experience Hendrix”.. The volume is a compilation of interviews with Hendrix from 1966-1970 from a variety of publications and  topics span from tales of his childhood, to questions about his  musical future. Hear Hendrix in his own voice, in what is surely as close to an autobiography as we could ever hope to see.

Joining us will also be special guests Rosa Lee Brooks who recorded with Jimi in 1965, or should we say Jimi recorded with her, and  Hollywood’s own Anthony Aquarius, who will grace us with some classic Jimi performances. Top it off with a couple performances by Hendrix himself, (on dvd) of course, and the night is set. Grab your Stratocaster , turn it upside down & backwards, and plug it into that Marshall. We’re ready to rock here at Larry Edmunds next Wednesday and we hope you’re ready to rock too! Mail orders welcome if you can’t make it.

Now, if you’ll “‘scuse me while I kiss the sky…”
