Goodbye Norma Jean, Marilyn Monroe-50 years gone, but never forgotten


Sunday marks the 50th anniversary since the death of Marilyn Monroe, and fans from all over the world are here in Los Angeles to celebrate and pay tribute to the actress who became a star who became a legend. Numerous events are planned including a luncheon and tour of the 20th Century Fox backlot , an all day Marilyn tour, and of course the Memorial service Sunday afternoon. The hard work of the Marilyn fan clubs including and are doing a fantastic job and we are glad to be involved with some of the fantastic authors as well. Sunday evening you can come celebrate Marilyn with author Lois Banner signing her brand new biography, “Marilyn-the Passion & the Paradox” at the Egyptian Theater before a screening of, Otto Preminger’s “River of No Return” . The films producer Stanley Rubin will be on hand for a Q& A as well, talking Otto, Mitchum, and of course the lady the screen will never forget, Marilyn Monroe.

Book signing at 6:30 p.m. in the lobby with the film at 7:30 p.m.
