This Saturday night at a special 5:30 pm start author/editor Murray Pomerance will sign his just released ,(with co-author R. Barton Palmer),”A Little Solitaire-John Frankenheimer and American Film”, and we’ll be joined by Mrs. John Frankenheimer, Evans Frankenheimer too! “A Little Solitaire” is a collection of essays by various film critics including Murray Pomerance, R. Barton Palmer, Stephen Prince, David Sterritt, Rebecca Bell-Metereau & more on films such as “The Manchurian Candidate”, “Ronin”,”The Gypsy Moths” & “Birdman of Alcatraz”.
We’ll show some trailers and a clip with Evans Frankenheimer and talk about the career of 5 time Emmy winner John Frankenheimer who set the bar for television drama in the 50′s and then moved on to set a standard in Hollywood too.
